The DICE team is counting down to the official launch of the DICE Accelerator — scheduled online on October 2, 2025, 14:00–15:30 CET. The event will introduce the DICE methodology, showcase Value Maps and the Accelerator workflow, and present the freshly published Handbook and Best Practices Report. Pilot partners will also share experiences in a panel on digital community engagement in practice.
What’s Behind the Scenes over the last months, DICE partners have been refining tools and methods via workshops and project meetings. The launch October 2 marks the culmination of these efforts. The Accelerator’s core mission is to bridge the gap between digitalisation and civic engagement in higher education institutions.
The Handbook
A centerpiece of the launch will be the release of the Handbook on Digital Community Engagement. The Handbook offers higher education leaders a usable framework and actionable tools for integrating digital engagement into their institutions. It draws on DICE framework, pilot learnings, and European case studies to help readers to:
- Grasp core principles and frameworks of digital community engagement
- Review real-world best practices
- Use digital platforms to support inclusive, student-centered engagement
- Foster a culture of values-driven collaboration
- Tackle common obstacles like digital inequality and stakeholder detachment
- The Handbook is aimed at institutional leaders, engagement officers, curriculum designers, administrative staff, and cross-functional teams working on digital transformation and social impact.
As the launch approaches, registration is open to educators, policymakers, students, and engagement stakeholders worldwide, so register here:
