This February, we are starting to pilot the updated courses while simultaneously
testing the Digital Accelerator platform. Building on the Digital Accelerator Workshop held in Alcalá, Spain, in October 2024, we trained university educators and course directors to enhance their courses with digital community engagement elements using the DICE Accelerator.
Now, nine educators from Slovakia, Spain, and Italy will apply their newly acquired knowledge in practice with their students. Each educator will integrate the Accelerator methodology into one selected course, regardless of the field of study, embedding digital community elements into their teaching. From February to April 2025, these enhanced courses will be tested, and educators will provide feedback on the Accelerator’s applicability and sustainability.
As a new and innovative tool, the Accelerator requires ongoing refinement and
iteration. The pilot phase will offer invaluable insights from real-life users—educators—helping us tailor the platform to their needs. Based on their feedback, we will enhance the Accelerator, ensuring it evolves into an autonomous tool for creating customized digital community engagement courses.
